Description of Current Product Line: Trendy clothing that can be worn for yoga/athletic purposes, as well as for day-to-day activities. Current line features pants, t-shirts, tank tops, undergarments and accessories. Vibrant colors this season (bright pink, green and yellow).

Men’s Line: Yes

Pros: Very popular, fits most body types, maintains its shape well (after washing), high quality

Cons: Expensive, not a lot of variety of styles

Would I Buy It? Yes!

Nike Yoga

Price Point ($CDN): Pants $90,Top $70

Description of Current Product Line: Mature with a trendy flair, worn primarily for yoga/athletic activities. Limited styles of pants and tank tops shown in some bright colors, but mostly neutrals.

Men’s Line: Yes

Pros: Nice styles and colors

Cons: Doesn’t fit well (too tight in waist and too baggy in legs), poor selection of products in-store (Sporting Life), too traditional styles

Would I Buy It? No

Mahanuala (Puma)

Price Point ($CDN): Pants $70, Top $80

Description of Current Product Line: Recently launched and targeted toward a younger audience. Line includes pants, tank tops, t-shirts and a variety of halter-tops and shorts. Styles and patterns are fresh and unique.

Men’s Line: No

Pros: Nice selection of products, tops fit well, good quality

Cons: Pants look awkward, extremely low brand awareness

Would I Buy It? Yes

TNA (Aritzia)

Price Point ($CDN): Pants $90, Top $100

Description of Current Product Line: Line includes sweatpants, sweatshirts, and sweatshorts in addition to its “yoga inspired” clothing. Products are typically worn for casual outings as opposed to yoga/athletic purposes. Design is very similar to Lululemon – solid color pants (usually black or blue) with a stripe across the waist.

Men’s Line: No

Pros: Trendy, fits well (same as lulu), classic colors and patterns – nothing too crazy

Cons: Extremely poor quality (after one wash the pants lose their shape), expensive

Would I Buy It? No

Roots Yoga

Price Point ($CDN): Pants $60, Top $65

Description of Current Product Line: Yoga wear for middle-age adults who want to look and feel young in their clothing. Styles are nice, and the colors are fairly neutral, sometimes with a splash of color. Material is thicker than the competitors’ products, giving the clothing a tough feel.

Men’s Line: Yes

Pros: Good price, nice selection, trustworthy company

Cons: Products do not fit well (too loose everywhere)

Would I Buy It? No
